Week 6 Day 6 — Auditory Learning

Sorry about not posting yesterday! I decided to combine my Saturday and Monday articles into one huge post. With that being said, Saturdays and Mondays will now be my break day.

I think that it’s safe to say that I wasted 30 minutes of each day this week while staring at YouTube videos, trying to see if auditory learning works for me. I had difficulty focusing on listening to the videos, so I don’t really remember much from them, except from Day 3 because my tactic of moving my hands around in my pockets was much less distracting than using my light-up fidget spinner.

I had a hunch that auditory learning wouldn’t be too effective for me since I’ve had past negative experience with just listening to my teacher’s lectures without taking any notes/reading over anything. However, it has come to my attention that auditory learners also use verbal methods, such saying what they are trying to learn out loud in order to better remember it.
