Hear That? Shaams Nur is Using Auditory Learning This Week!
I’m Shaams Nur, a 9th grader from Birmingham, Alabama. My goal during quarantine is to experiment with 15 study methods over the next 100 days.
Week 6 Day 1
First of all, I’d like to give a huge thanks to each and every one of you for helping me reach 20 followers! That may not seem like a huge number, but it’s a major accomplishment for me. This week is all about auditory learning.
I predict that auditory learning will not be too effective for me. Maybe 7/10. Throughout my years at school, I’ve realized that I need to have some way to write down my thoughts, whether it’s typing on an online document or handwriting on paper. If I’m not actively doing something while listening to my teacher’s lecture (e.g. reading over/writing notes), I often find myself staring into space until that familiar riiiing riiiing riiiing of the school bell over the staticky intercom interrupts my daydreaming. In order to prevent that this week, perhaps I can do something with my fingers while listening to YouTube videos about auditory learning (use a yo-yo, bounce a ball, etc). I truly do hope that auditory learning is effective for me because, although high school classrooms are quite controlled in regards to taking…
